Sophomore pacer BE STING has returned to the form that saw him win six figures as a freshman, winning at the Red Mile on Tuesday (Sept. 8) in 1:50.1.

Driven by Andy McCarthy for trainer Joe Holloway and owners Val D’Or Farms, Brittany Farms and AC Crawford Farms LLC, the 3-year-old son of PERFECT STING has a win and two seconds this season and was parked the last half in his $15,000 division of the Kentucky Goldenrod Series while taking the seasonal mark.
