Maya Patel Hanover does it again!

American Ideal’s 2017 Dan Patch Champion filly Youaremycandygirl p,3,1:48.2 ($1,112,359), who recently became her sire’s 12th millionaire, is back on top of her game. She became the year’s fastest filly or mare pacer with her 1:48.2 win in the $96,600 Shady Daisy 3YO Filly Pace at the Meadowlands.
Her win was not only a North American season’s mark but also a personal best and a stakes and track record at the Meadowlands. In winning the Shady Daisy, she defeated her highly ranked nemesis Kissin In The Sand and a top field of distaff pacers.
Bill Donovan’s champion filly was bred by Birnam Wood Farms and sold as a yearling for $150,000 at the 2016 Harrisburg Sale.
American Ideal, who stands at Blue Chip Farms in New York, has another large contingent of yearlings heading to the major sales this fall.
With total progeny earnings in excess of $7.4-million just this year, he is the leading money-winning active pacing sire in the U.S., and far and away the undisputed king of the lucrative New York Sire Stakes program.
